Ghosts and Horses is home to the creative work of writer Brian Bieber. From screenplays to commerical copy to long-form prose to maniacal letters to the editor, Brian is comfortable working in nearly any genre. He studied memoir with Patricia Hampl and poetry with Michael Dennis Browne at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities; and co-founded Ache, a Minneapolis magazine of art, poetry and prose. He is currently a writer and concept developer at Fresh Produce, a full service advertising agency in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Brian has shared stages and performances with a variety of artists, from Canadian author and novelty lecturer Sheila Heti, to Minneapolis super-DJ Turbo Nemesis. He was a 2004 winner of the SASE/Jerome grant for writers, and his work appeared in the 2008 anthology The McSweeney’s Joke Book of Book Jokes.

He is also the producer and host of the podcast, “The Ghosts & Horses Radio Hour.” The Radio Hour has featured conversations with and profiles of many noteworthy artists and individuals of general interest, such as writer and emcee Dessa of Doomtree; Corey Eno Ruffin of Michigan's Super Happy Funtime Burlesque; performace artist and activist Patrick Scully; Absolute and A Def of Soulcrate Music; and many more.
